Healthy Steps Nutrition Certified Coach
I was always an athlete growing up. Soccer was my sport from the age of 5 through high school. After high school, my activity level dropped and so did my motivation. When I hit 36 I decided it was time to make a change and joined the CrossFit community. After that, I immediately began learning about nutrition and saw changes in myself that I didn't know were possible. Not only did I see physical changes but I also saw mental and emotional changes that began to change all aspects of my life.
Once I became familiar with CrossFit I immediately became interested in becoming a coach. There is nothing more satisfying than watching someone push themselves and hit their goals whatever that may be. As I entered into my own fitness and nutrition journey I had no idea what my body was capable of and the distance it would go. There is always that self-doubt lurking in the back of my head and I found for just that 1 hour the negative self-talk would disappear and my whole outlook would change for the day. There is no better feeling than feeling accomplished.
I want to share the knowledge that I have learned via textbooks as well as life. I want to share the tools that I now have. I want to help those who may feel hopeless or have no idea where, to begin with, their nutrition and/or fitness. I want them to know that their journey is not one that they must take alone. I want to be the support as they lead themselves to find a change that will be manageable throughout their life.
